Merry Christmas from Surrey Lane wedding photography
Well the last two days have been pretty full on with weddings at Farnham Castle, Wandsworth Register Office and Hotel Verta followed by a 25th wedding Anniversary Party at Hever Castle and all just a few days before Christmas.
We had a great time at all three events and we wish our happy couples Adam and Sammy, David and Lucy and Paul and Linda a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Speaking of which, we managed to scoff a few mince pies in the making of our traditional pun filled Christmas card.
Blogs of the three events will follow in the new year.
Hap Pie Christmas everyone and here's to a Happy New Year

Wedding photographers at Morden Hall Park
It's Sunday afternoon and we have just arrived at the Morden Hall Park (not to be confused with nearby Morden Park House), originally a deer park and part of one of many estates that during the industrial revolution used to be situated along the banks of the River Wandle.
We were here for a quick pre wedding photo shoot but as we arrived it began to rain heavily and we thought this may not be such a great experience for our couple Lucy and David. But luckily it stopped as quickly as it arrived and out came the sun and soon we were all walking towards one of the many pretty bridges that cross the Wandle.
Though it was early December, it felt distinctly autumnal and it was great to get some warm romantic pre wedding pictures of Lucy and David together before their big day later in the month when they are getting married at Wandsworth Town Hall and Hotel Verta.

Wedding photographer thank you
As mentioned in a previous Blog on 23rd October, it's always great when you get a thank you from clients, especially when they go to the trouble of sending you a personal card through the post.
We have just received this sweet heartfelt thank you card from Ameeta and Mike a couple who's wedding at Christ Church Sutton we covered in our blog of 19th August, and on a day that Ameeta reminds us was very hot and challenging.
We thank you for taking time to say thank you, as any wedding photographer will tell you, it is always very much appreciated.

Box Hill pre wed photography
What a beautiful Tuesday afternoon to have a pre wedding shoot and on the wonderfully scenic Box Hill in Dorking Surrey.
This was the choice of location for our relaxed and happy couple Sammy and Adam and a great Surrey landmark it was too with those stunning views over the North Downs - though having said that, situated within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty and as such a very popular National Trust site, especially during this end of October half term holiday, we did need to get away from those crowded hills.
But getting off the beaten track for some romantic pre wedding pictures wasn't difficult and soon Sammy and Adam were enjoying their afternoon away from everyone and under the close eye of their ever present wedding photographer.
A lovely afternoon with a great couple and we look forward to their December wedding at the historic and beautiful Farnham Castle, Surrey though I expect a lot colder than this wonderful sunny October day.

Wedding photography at Horsley Towers
It was the last weekend in October and we were back at the wonderfully eccentric Horsley Towers with our lovely and very relaxed couple Donna and Daniel.
This was our second time here with them as we had shot their pre wed shoot here in mid August...so all it was now was the addition of a few more people, some ceremonies, food and drink and a few other surprises.
Whilst not as hot as our time here in August it was still remarkably good weather for so late in the year, a trend we have noticed over the last two years.
The day went very well, with everyone enjoying the pleasant weather and the big occasion, helped along by Noel, the master of ceremonies who I had first met and worked with at another Horsley wedding a few months earlier in July.
Donna and Daniel were on fine form as you can see with their wry smiles throughout and the Soprano Bella's singing Waiters in Disguise certainly brought the Great Hall's roof down with an unforgettable performance that had everyone standing, hugging, crying and singing along at the top of their voices.
A great day, a great couple and certainly a wedding to remember.
And a quick shout out to the people and companies that helped make the day special:
