Leatherhead Register Office Wedding Photography
With a long and interesting history, this old Leatherhead mansion building was renovated back in 2000 which then provided the space for the register office.
If you are looking for an experienced Leatherhead Register Office Wedding photographer then look no further.
Guests enter via the discrete entrance on Church Street and if driving go to the right hand side and on to the large car park at the rear, the small front car park being reserved for the registrars and the wedding car. Then it's a short walk back to the main entrance where you can wait in the large reception room before walking down the corridor to The State Room for the marriage ceremony.
After the marriage ceremony, everyone has direct access to the large and inviting lawn area complete with pretty arbours and secluded seats. If time allows and you are feeling adventurous you can also walk down to the River Mole.
The staff at Leatherhead Register Office are very friendly and welcoming and this is a very relaxed and pleasant Surrey wedding venue to come to at all times of the year.

A Leatherhead Register Office wedding photographer's perspective
What makes Leatherhead Register Office such a great wedding venue and one that you love returning to is its lovely garden...which is just perfect for some relaxed, romantic wedding photography.
From the Reign of Henry Vlll...
There has been a house on the site of Leatherhead Register Office now for over 700 years, it being first mentioned in the 14th century and its history has been directly affected by the political upheavals during the reign of Henry Vlll and the historical periods of Oliver Cromwell and the reign of James ll.
Notable people who have lived here include Thomas Blood-worth (Lord Mayor of London during the Fire of London of 1666) and Edmund Tylney who as Master of the Revels in 1578, licensed 30 of William Shakespeare's plays and was know to have censored politically volatile sections of his works.
...To Grammar School and Library
During the 18th century The Mansion was improved and between 1846 - 1878 it became a highly regarded boys' grammar school. During World War ll it became a billet for Canadian airmen, later sold to the council who used the ground floor as a public library.
...To Popular Surrey Wedding venue
In May 2000 The Mansion was fully renovated and along with the existing library, space was allocated for The State Room, the now ever popular Surrey wedding register office.
There's always a sense of expectation getting married at Leatherhead Register Office…and as soon as the ceremony is over you feel the excitement as everyone spills out into the bright and welcoming garden

Getting Married at Leatherhead Register Office - what to expect
The State Room is the marriage ceremony room and after the procedings everyone filters out into the conservatory and out onto the terrace and large garden area.
State Room wedding photography
The main wedding ceremony room is The State Suite which can seat up to 44 guests and is situated down the corridor on the left-hand side (there is also another room for very small weddings of up to 6 people).
With dark mahogany fittings and with light coming in from the garden side windows and door, it can seem quite dark at times and so for overcast days or winter weddings use of a flash could be beneficial.
The Bride makes her grand entrance from the adjacent room and after the marriage ceremony, the newlywed couple lead the exit out into the conservatory which can be used for the group wedding photographs if the weather isn't great.
Otherwise its down the steps into the large garden where wedding photography opportunities abound. You can walk out onto the extensive lawn or take the gravel path to the right which goes under a large arbour or take the path through the middle of the lawn.

"Richard you have a lovely way of making people feel at ease, and many of our guests commented on this"

Tina
Having been a professional, full-time wedding photographer for over twelve years, Tina now concentrates her time in the studio, editing all our wedding images, designing wedding albums and ordering prints, an area that she is passionate about and which perfectly suits her previous interior design skills.
Keeping everything in-house in this way also means we don’t keep our couples waiting longer than they should to see the wonderful picture story of their wedding. We also let you know the date when your photos will be ready to view so you don't have to chase us for an update and we pride ourselves on presenting them on time.
If you want to talk about dresses and make-up then Tina's the one to have a chat with and if you want to talk about anything else, then myself or Tina are here at hand to answer any questions you may have.
Larry
As well as helping us design and constantly improve our website he keeps our systems ticking over nice and smoothly so that everything works tickety-boo.
When Larry is not working with us he is an accomplished full-time artist, exhibiting his eye-catching work in the UK and around the world.
We can't say anymore though or show his face, he's a bit of a Banksy.
