Pennyhill Park is a large and luxurious 19th Century Mansion set within 123 acres of green tranquil grounds and countryside which offers couples an exceptional number of marriage and reception options from the small to the very large.

Marriage ceremony and reception rooms to choose from include the outside Terrace Pavilion, The Balmoral Suite, The Sandringham Suite, The Library, The Windsor and Eton Suite, The Fairway Suite, The Parkview, and also The Carolean Suite. All of the rooms, as you would expect are beautifully finished, many with original features such as large fireplaces and windows, usually with wonderful views and plenty of natural flowing light.
The terrace and surrounding lawns are a great space for natural reportage style wedding photography and there are many lovely places to take the newlywed couple off for romantic pictures away from the busy celebrations.
Pennyhill Park has also been the training home of the England Rugby team since their World Cup victory against Australia back in 2003, so if you see some large athletic men walking past, you'll know who they are.

What makes Pennyhill Park such a great Surrey venue and one that you love returning to is its large variety of marriage ceremony rooms and its grand and picturesque setting. All great for some wonderful and memorable wedding photography.
From Spanish Armada warning...
The earliest references to the property date back to 1609 when the land was part of the nationwide beacon warning system set up to signal the approaching Spanish Armada in 1588. The first house to be built there was in 1849 by the civil engineer James Hodges and over the years there were a vast number of improvements with the terracing of the formal gardens taking place in 1935. At the time it also had the longest holly bush in Britain which at places reached 40 feet in height.
...To exclusive luxury hotel
During 1st World War it was used to house military personnel, convenient due to the fact that Sandhurst Military Academy is only five miles away. It was in 1972 that Pennyhill Park opend its door to fially become a hotel.
Bought in 1982 by Exclusive Hotels and Venues it has since been extensively refurbished and expanded and is now a luxury hotel with grand staircases, romantic balconies and ivy covered walls and a well respected Surrey wedding venue.

Getting Married at Pennyhill Park - what to expect
Along with the Terrace Pavilion there are six marriage room options depending on the number of guests you have for both the ceremony and reception. The Library can accommodate up to 110 ceremony guests, The Balmoral (up to 230), The Windsor and Eaton (100), Fairway (48), Parkview (48) and the Carolean (up to 30 guests).
Terrace Pavilion wedding photography
The Terrace Pavilion is a wonderful space for summer marriages when the weather is fine and it can cater from small to larger weddings of up to 230 guests.
For the guests, it's a treat to be able to sit in such a lovely position, on the lawn on either side looking down onto the Pavillion with its wonderful green tree canopy backdrop.
And then for the dramatic entrance of the Bride down the stone steps with the ivy-covered wall backdrop, as she progresses down along the flagstone path to the expectant Groom, a memorable view to treasure.
The guests also benefit from a great view of the proceedings from their elevated position as well as when the happy newlyweds walk back along the path for the reception drinks.
Balmoral Suite wedding photography
The large and sumptuous Balmoral Suite with its rich wooden panelling and handcrafted chandeliers is a wonderful room for a reception seating up to 200 guests.
Situated on the first floor and accessed by a grand circular staircase, The Balmoral Suite also offers The Sandringham Room as a complimentary space so there is no need to turnaround the rooms and a DJ or band can already be set up ready for the evening celebrations and dancing. The Sandringham is immediately opposite and also has it's own bar.
Both rooms offer plenty of opportunities for some fun, candid and memorable wedding photograpy.

Keeping everything in-house in this way also means we don’t keep our couples waiting longer than they should to see the wonderful picture story of their wedding. We also let you know the date when your photos will be ready to view so you don't have to chase us for an update and we pride ourselves on presenting them on time.
